Hotel Concordia Venice, Venice

The hotel offers a great feeling of the old Venezia style, with larger windows than most old world hotels, free WiFi, and updated bathrooms with a soaker tub and shower. The view from the rooms is fantastic, immersing you in the heart of Venezia. However, the rooms are a bit dark due to the specific design, which might not appeal to everyone.

My stay at the hotel was a mix of highs and lows. The rooms, although small and stuffy, offered a terrace overlooking the Basilica which was a nice touch. The service was a bit hit or miss, with some staff members barging in without notice but also arranging a memorable private transfer. The location, just behind San Marco cathedral, was ideal for exploring the city, although the noise was a drawback. The dining experience was delightful, with a wide variety of delicious options. Overall, a decent stay with some room for improvement.

The hotel's location is unquestionably awesome, perfect for first-time visitors to Venice, centrally located just off St Mark's Square. The rooms are spacious, with a large bathroom, excellent hot shower, and good Wi-Fi. On the downside, the rooms lack a view, only facing a wall. The service is extremely professional, offering a rare mix of formality and friendliness, although some training is needed for final bill settlements. The dining experience varies, with poor quality fake bacon and eggs, but with a great view of Basilica di San Marco. The hotel facilities are convenient and offer useful amenities.
